ELEMENTS COLLECTING
I engage with non-traditional and explorative ways of using clay for making sculptures, understanding how clay can be utilized as a medium to make sense of who I am and where I live. I found chances to learn how to perceive surroundings in Norway because I don’t have much experience of living here, which has always worked by estranging me from the familiar by unsettling my settled assumptions. I was inspired by the different environments and plan to continue collecting elements from my surroundings—never before used, seen, or eaten by me. Collecting is the way that how I observe and dialogue with the environment. I plan to reconstruct the combination of collected elements and imagination by working with clay; using familiar medium (ceramics) and form (sculpture) to present strange things makes me feel comfortable when interact and coexist with my surroundings.
